The Webster Central School District ranks among the best in New York State. The district, Monroe County's second largest, serves nearly 8,000 students from the Town of Webster and a few adjacent towns. Seven elementary schools serve kindergarten through grade six. Two middle schools serve seven through ninth graders and one high school serves students grade ten through twelve. Webster schools provide students with a balanced academic program within an environment that encourages individual development.
About 300 new homes have been built each year in Webster during the past 5 years. The town is bordered on two sides by water, Lake Ontario on the north and Irondequoit Bay on the west. Webster is also home to Xerox Corp. manufacturing complex, and the Wilson Center for Technology.
