White Plains is conveniently located 35 minutes north of NYC and has a diverse community that includes most races and religions. It has very strong neighborhood associations that monitor elected officials and their activities which allows all citizens to have a voice in the community. There are 3 large malls as well as most large chains so shopping is easy and available. The train ride to NYC is easy and the station has plenty of parking (covered) for residents.

There are many restaurants and a movie complex has been approved and should be finished by next year. The library is large and videos as well as books are available. The recreation dept. provides activities for all age groups and tennis courts and golf courses are nearby. There are 2 Y's, YMCA and YWCA, and both have pools and lots of activities. The schools are excellent and the taxes are reasonable since the malls provide a source of income from the sales tax. White Plains is a great place to live and work.
