The Island is 26 miles long with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the sound and ICWW on the other side. Pender and Onslow County share this Island. We have a sprinkle of churches, businesses, and stores. Find us 2 hours north of Myrtle Beach or 4 hours south of Cape Hatteras. The Island has grown in the last 3 years but it's still a quaint island. there are still affordable homes on the ocean!

Surf City local government is second to none. Surf City provides outstanding police and fire protection as well as emergency services through valuable paid and volunteer staff.

Surf City recreation projects includes the Soundside Park, the construction of bike paths through town, Broadway St. beach access and one of the best 4th of July celebrations around. Larger projects include beach nourishment, storm water improvements, water system expansions and road improvement projects.
