Broadview Heights is thirteen square miles of residential land filled with wooded rolling hills located approximately fifteen miles south of Cleveland. Its name was derived from the hilly terrain. Often referred to as the "highest of the heights," it has one of the highest elevations in Cuyahoga County, 1,275 feet above sea level. Residential developments have been interspersed among the rolling hills and wooded areas.

Broadview Heights belongs to both the Brecksville and North Royalton city school districts. The town has made the children a priority, and they have three elementary schools and one high school. These schools have done an excellent job on focusing on both the short-term and the long-term needs of the students, and have a good success rate with their pupils.
