Hillsboro is a pleasant, progressive city of 6,368 people, located in southwestern Ohio. It is the seat of government and center of commerce of Highland County, so named because of its location among the high lands between the Scioto and Little Miami Rivers. Hillsboro is 66 miles south west of Columbus and 56 miles from both Dayton and Cincinnati. It is 35 miles North of the Ohio River.
Hillsboro is served by two U.S. and four State highways. At least a dozen trucking companies provide freight for the industries of Hillsboro. These industries manufacture textile products, metal products, printed forms, truss, electrical components, electrical automotive parts, and motor consulting.
With its wide, tree-lined streets, its excellent schools, its attractive homes and its central location with respect to three of Ohio's major cities, Hillsboro is an eminently satisfying place in which to live and work.
