Hyde Park, Ohio
Located in Hamilton County
Hyde Park, Ohio Hyde Park is one of Cincinnati's oldest neighborhoods. Historic gaslights and towering shade trees line many of the streets, which exhibit impressive homes that maintain the charm of past eras. Many of these homes, from smaller frame and brick homes to castle-styled stone mansions include leaded and stained glass windows and doors, intricate woodwork and professional landscaping. This community is a favorite among young professionals and includes a colorful, fountain-graced village square surrounded by many upscale specialty shops and restaurants. Norwood's Rookwood Pavilion and Hyde Park Plaza offer more than 50 shops and restaurants. Graeter's Ice Cream parlor, located on Hyde Park Square, is the oldest surviving ice cream manufacturer in America (125 years) and the only one left that still makes ice cream using the French pot method. And when the time comes to run off those extra pounds gained from Graeter's, Alms Park and Ault Park are just minutes away. Residents of Hyde Park are often seen enjoying a stroll through their neighborhood square and through the gardens of Ault Park. Walkers, joggers and rollerbladers can take advantage of attractive, open spaces with their friends, family and canine companions. http://www.cincinnatihome.org/neighborhoods/Neighborhood.asp?select=hydepark/hydeprk_main.asp
