Financial institutions in New Lexington include three banks, while community facilities are weekly & daily newspapers, one District Library, plus two hospitals in Zanesville & Lancaster serve the city. Recreation includes a public bowling center, outdoor swimming pool, public parks & tennis Courts. New Lex has a college, elementary and high school. Utilities for the city is a daily water supply obtained from two reservoirs and ample electricity and gas service. Public transportation is provided New Lex by countywide transit, plus an airport is available for public use.
