Poland, Ohio

Poland Ohio has a population of just about 3,000 residents and covers approximately 1.2 miles in Mahoning County.

Poland is located in northeastern Ohio in Mahoning County just south of Youngstown about 5 miles from the Pennsylvania border. The city is nearest to Struthers, Boardman Campbell, Lowellville, New Middletown, Youngstown, Maplewood Park and Bessemer, PA.

Major outdoor recreation centers around Meander Creek Reservoir about 10 miles west of town as well as the Fonderlac Country Club, a private club but with a reciprocal guest policy allowing golfers who are members of others clubs around the country to play a round of golf with them. The course is 6,400 yards long and plays to a par of 70.

The Poland School system is rich in tradition and history. The school system was founded in 1802 as the area's first public school and now spans three centuries of service...from the early beginning of the 1800s, all through the 1900s, and now into the 2000s.
