Stow's 2004 population of 34,394 represents a 7% increase since 2000 and makes it the third largest city in Summit County. The City has long recognized the benefits of a diverse tax base and a balance between residential, commercial, and industrial development. Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital is growing to meet your changing healthcare needs and expectations. Through top quality medical professionals, leading edge technology, innovative treatments and unique services. The Stow school district is adding an addition that will include 10 classrooms. In addition, the senior study hall will be remodeled into several classrooms. Each year approximately 2,500 students take advantage of career job-preparation programs offered by Compact. The job placement range from students who complete Compact career programs is more than 90 percent.

The Stow Parks and Recreation Department maintains almost 400 acres of land that have remained relatively untouched by the recent explosion of residential and commercial growth in the region. The preserved land is used by residents of all ages for seasonal leisure activities and sports leagues throughout the year. Activities include golf, tennis, fishing, ping-pong, basketball, cross-country skiing, bike hike and trails, ice skating, volleyball, flag football and gymnastics.
