Tallmadge, Ohio
Population: 16,390
Located in Summit County
Tallmadge was founded in 1807 by the Reverend David Bacon as part of the Connecticut Western Reserve. It was Bacon who laid out the picturesque Tallmadge Circle based on the New England design of the day. Today, the Circle is still the central focal point of this community of over 15,000 people. The City blends early American heritage with its present day mid-western hospitality. There are currently nearly 1,800 acres of undeveloped land within the City of Tallmadge. This is good news for investors as this can accommodate new residential, commercial, and industrial growth. This makes Tallmadge one of the area's fastest growing cities because of the untapped potential within the city limits. A wide variety of housing opportunities, convenient shopping areas and numerous year-round recreational facilities are available throughout the community. Houses are relatively inexpensive in this area, and there are many types of housing available from small apartments and garden flats, all the way up to the newest and best estates. These, coupled with the excellent school system, make Tallmadge a great place to live. Tallmadge is an excellent location for business, too. Numerous state routes and the interstate system run through the city making it an ideal location with easy access. There are large tracts of desirable residential, commercial and industrial lands set aside for development. Tallmadge also offers residents and businesses modern up-to-date services such as police, fire and emergency medical services. Seeing Tallmadge was initially created as part of the Western Reserve, it still retains many of those picturesque qualities today. Tallmadge should be on your list of places to look at if you are looking at a city that knows where it is headed for the future, knows how to grow properly and yet still maintain a rural setting.
