Walton Hills is a small village in Cuyahoga County with a population of 2,400 and a land area of 6.9 square miles, this small town has much to offer it's residents. Completing its 50th year of incorporation Walton Hills was originally part of the Bedford Township, which was formed in 1823. Walton Hills is bordered by the communities of Bedford, Maple Heights, Oakwood, Sagamore Hills, and Valley View. Walton Hills is about 12 miles southeast of Cleveland Bedford Metropark Reservation is located within the boundaries and the village has been designated as part of the Cuyahoga Valley National Recreational Area. Astorhurst Country Club is also located in Walton Hills and is the ideal course for all skill levels, featuring 18 holes with bent grass on the greens and fairways. Young Park Recreational Center is within the village boundaries and offers baseball, tennis, Little League, and basketball amenities. While Walton Hills Lake is a favorite for swimming, Metro Park is a favorite for winter sports along with Brandywine ski area and of course golfing in the warmer seasons.
