Wyoming is a northern suburb of Cincinnati offering all the advantages of a small town with the amenities of a big city. It is a 125 year-old community with 8,261 residents. The City of Wyoming's Historic District is on the National Register of Historic Places. Citizens of the Year are recognized annually for outstanding service to the community. Recycling of solid waste is the highest of any community in Hamilton County.

Known for responsive, progressive city government and outstanding public service. Government officials are visible and accessible to the community and actively seek input from citizens. All meetings are open to the public. Citizens may bring any matter to the attention of the Council during the Citizen Participation portion of agenda. Boards and Commissions, made up of residents, provide input and guidance to City Council. Residents provided input and guidance to the 1997 Ten Year Master Plan and the 1999 Recreation Master Plan, which guide improvements and development into the next century. Wyoming provides its own full-range of public services including public safety, water, planning and zoning, and construction and maintenance of streets. Public services are efficient and effective. The police, emergency medical service and fire department typically respond to emergency calls within minutes.
