Sapulpa is the county seat for Creek County and is located in northeast Oklahoma’s Green Country. It occupies an area over which six nations have flown their flags – Spain, France, England, Mexico, the Choctaw Indian Nation, and the United States. The character of Sapulpa was shaped by three historic factors – Indians, railroads and oil.

Sapulpa has five outdoor shopping centers with restaurants, retail stores, beauty shops, pharmacies, video stores, grocery stores, automobile supplies and more. Several discount stores are also located in the city.

The unique, historical downtown has a variety of retail and specialty shops. Martha's Corner, a public park, offers a relaxing atmosphere for rest stops.
