Economy: The area's economy is based primarily upon agriculture, tourism, timber products, and retail trade. A large regional mall is located within twelve miles of Phoenix and a factory outlet shopping center is located just outside Phoenix.

Climate: The Rogue valley has four distinct seasons. Spring arrives around March with dry warm weather. Summer is hot and dry. The temperatures begin to cool in the fall. Around the second to third week of October the rainy season begins. The annual rainfall for the Medford area is generally less than 20 inches. It is not uncommon to have over 10 feet of snow in the surrounding mountains in the dead of winter, while having only a light dusting of snow in the valley, which disappears quickly. Wintertime lows drop down below freezing occasionally, and in late July -early August it is not uncommon to see a couple of weeks of high 90's to low 100's, but as summer progresses the temperatures begin to drop off and it becomes quite livable.

Located in the beautiful Rogue Valley between the Siskiyou and Cascade mountain ranges. Phoenix offers an intimate, secure environment for its residents. Minutes away from Ashland and Medford, you can enjoy great food, fun, shopping, and the arts.
