Springfield, situated between the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers, is the gateway to the McKenzie Resort and Recreation Area. Sharing a boundary with Eugene means that visitors to Springfield have access to the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, featuring world-class entertainment all year. Symphony, ballet, opera, musical theater, small galleries, music of all kinds, nationally known artists, and live theater give visitors and residents a wide range of choices for their leisure activities. Eugene's University of Oregon, a member of the PAC-10 athletic conference, provides a variety of sports events, frequently world-class, for everyone's entertainment during each season.
