Wood Village, Oregon
Wood Village is located 12 miles east of Portland, Oregon, and is nestled between Troutdale, Fairview and Gresham along I-84 in the Columbia River Gorge. It hosts a main road to Mt. Hood that is part of the Mt. Hood Scenic Byway Corridor.
Wood Village sprang to life as a planned community in 1942 to provide housing for the Reynolds aluminum factory workers during WWII. It incorporated as a city in 1951 and has grown to include a diverse community of nearly 3,000 citizens as well as a large variety of commercial and industrial businesses.
