This is evident when you take a stroll down the brick sidewalks and enjoy the colonial architecture that can be found in one of the city's many historic neighborhoods. Many of the solidly built, stone or brick buildings once used for industry now serve as some of the city's most unique apartments, condominiums and homes.

While the foundation of the Amish religion is built upon humility and privacy, there are many opportunities to learn about and enjoy Pennsylvania Dutch customs. Outdoor enthusiasts will revel in the diverse landscapes that take hikers, bikers and the like through heavily wooded trails, beyond bustling streams and past breathtaking wildlife.
With several professional sports teams nearby, spectators are drawn to South Central Pennsylvania for sports entertainment. Just a few of the professional teams in our region include the Central Penn Piranhas (football); Harrisburg Senators (baseball); Hershey Bears (ice hockey); and Hershey Wildcats (soccer).
Downtown Lancaster is quickly becoming the preferred destination for shoppers in search of unique treasures. Several areas of the city have quickly emerged as small shopping districts, including the boutique-lined 300 block of North Queen Street, where vintage fashion, hand-blown glass, eclectic art and gifts are always the order of the day.
Peppered throughout the rolling hills of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, roadside stands and large barns often serve as displays for handmade goods produced by our Plain Sect and Amish craftspeople and artisans.
