You'll find Maine's largest zoo and amusement park in the heart of York Beach, and on a clear day you can see miles of scenic coast from the top of Mount Agamenticus. No trip to York is complete without a trip to Nubble Lighthouse, perhaps the most beautiful lighthouse in America.

There are family-oriented special events year-round in York, including Harvestfest in October, and York Days, a week-long celebration of summer in York Beach. A wealth of fine restaurants and accommodations, including oceanfront resorts, campgrounds, and cozy bed & breakfasts, are available for the resident as well as the visitor!.

York is the oldest incorporated town in the United States, and celebrated its 351st anniversary this year. It has a rich heritage of which townspeople are very proud. It boasts a top school system and local hospital.
