The city's marina is considered by many the best on the western shores of Lake Michigan. Port Washington reigns as the best sport fishing port on the western shore of Lake Michigan. You may be able to catch Chinook, Coho Salmon, Brown, Rainbow and Lake Trout. If you enjoy winter activities, there is still plenty to do. You may go cross country skiing, ice skating, sledding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.
