Cedar Park, Texas was, incorporated in 1973 on the northwestern edge of the Austin MSA. It is the second fastest growing community in the state of Texas. From a population of 5,161 in 1990, Cedar Park has exploded on the popularity scale, developing into an urban center of over 40,000 residents in a little more than 20 years. The City is located on the skirt of Austin's technology corridor and is emerging as a high impact community. Its political and business leadership is committed to making rapid strides towards becoming less of a bedroom community and more of a high growth business hub.
