University Park, Texas

University Park, an incorporated community central to Dallas and located near scenic Turtle Creek and University Park, contains some of the most valuable real estate in the Metroplex. Designed by Wilbur David Cook, designer of Beverly Hills, its features residential boulevards that meander among the manicured lawns and surrounding oak and pecan trees.

Amenities in University Park include four elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school, all part of the Highland Park Independent School District. Both University Park and Highland Park have the top rated schools in the state. You will find many shops and restaurants in Highland Park Village and Preston Center. Yet one of this community's greatest assets is an extremely well organized local government, including responsive police and fire departments.

If you are considering moving to the Dallas area, the Park Cities neighborhoods are an excellent location in which to settle. Both Highland Park and University Park are about a seven minute commute to the Dallas downtown core. With proximity to the tollway, the Park Cities provide easy access to North Dallas as well. In fact, nearly anywhere in Dallas is convenient to the Park Cities. Like most people, you may be apt to stay for decades in the Park Cities neighborhoods; they are stable, community-oriented neighborhoods with little transition.
