Located in the foothills of Mt. Timpanogas, Cedar Hills is one of the fastest growing communities in Utah County. Another reason it may be so appealing is that its residents have easy access to recreation spots in American Fork Canyon via U-146 and U-92.

Cedar Hills, a bedroom community is linked to American Fork, the nearby town. Cedar Hill is located in the heart of Utah County, and is a pleasant mix of small-town goodness and modern development. Discovered by trappers from the American Fur Company - who trapped along the river that starts on the south slopes of Mount Baldy, or Bald Mountain - the town was settled by Mormon pioneers in 1850 and incorporated on June 4, 1853.

The town is an attractive residential community based largely on farming, manufacturing, and trade. Among the town's attractions are its downtown businesses, many of which are still housed in their original Old West-style buildings.

In recent years, the area has been attracting a number of high-tech firms due to its educated workforce, low business costs and excellent quality of life. Just minutes from Cedar Hill's quaint Main Street is the new Utah Valley Business Park, home of Dentrix and Intel.
