Centerville, Utah

Located in Sanpete County

Nestled between the Wasatch Mountains and the Great Salt Lake lies the friendly city of Centerville. Within fifteen minutes of Salt Lake City to the south and 25 minutes of Ogden to the north, Centerville offers a beautiful environment for the homeowner and a fast growing commercial climate for the local entrepreneur.

Centerville is expanding rapidly as people become aware of the amenities that it has to offer. For example, between 1980 and 1990 Centerville's population increased to 11,500. This trend continued as the population of the City grew to 14,585 in 2000.

Scenic views of the valley and Great Salt Lake combine with a temperate four-season climate to provide the ideal setting for residency. Consequently, Centerville is fast becoming an ideal location for residential subdivision development.

Centerville is located in the middle of the fabulous recreational and cultural opportunities available along the Wasatch Front. Eight major ski resorts are within a 45-minute drive of Centerville. The cultural treasures of downtown Salt Lake City, such as Ballet West, the Utah Symphony, Temple Square, and sporting events at the Delta Center are fifteen minutes away.

Centerville has excellent primary and secondary schools. Education has always been important to the residents of Centerville, but never more than now when technology plays such a prominent part in the classrooms. Local businesses have ensured the standards are met and even exceeded, which has resulted in an extremely successful school and education system.

This area is truly a jewel; surrounded by mountains and next to the Salt Lake, Centerville is a popular place to live. And like most of Utah, it is a very reasonably priced area as well. Most homes sell for between $100,000 and $300,000. There is a wide range of housing available, from small cottages to rambling ranches, and from apartments to condos.

Over 65 acres of parks and open space are available for individual, family and group activities. The Davis County Trail also has several points in Centerville where people can "hop" on and hike, bike or amble along the lovely trail paths. This trail is open all year round and highlights the four seasons in all their glory.

Centerville has rapidly grown in the last two decades, but like the pioneers who blazed the trail before them, the city leaders are not concerned about the future and have devised strategies to keep the friendly, small-town feeling of this city, even though it is expanding. Come and see whether Centerville will be the "center" of your new world!
