Stansbury Park, Utah

Located in Tooele County
Stansbury Park is located in the Northern end of Tooele valley at the base of the Oquirrh mountains. It is a planned community with amenities not found anywhere else in Utah, with its own private lake for sailing and paddleboats, an 18 hole golf course, clubhouse and parks. The Stansbury Service Agency was established by the Tooele County Commissioners. The Service Agency has responsibility for developing and maintaining the Clubhouse, Swimming Pool, Greenbelts, Parks, Stansbury Lake and the Golf Course which is currently leased. The Parks at Stansbury include baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, an astronomical observatory and play areas for children. One of the centerpieces of Stansbury Park is its 18-hole public golf course. This challenging golf course winds through the beautiful homes of Stansbury and features over a dozen lakes integrated into the layout. All the par 3's are over water and all but two holes have water hazards, so be prepared to splash a ball or two during a round. In the winter time, Stansbury is often the only course open in the greater Salt Lake City area. The course has a clubhouse with food service, a pro shop, putting green and driving range. Homes are well thought out and planned here. Many of them are built either on the golf course, or on the lake, or have access to both. Many families own a boat to go sailing on the weekends. Even though these homes are built on such exclusive areas, they are still remarkably inexpensive. Most single-family homes start at $120,000 and can go up to the millions of dollars. There are not many other choices, some condos have been built for added convenience, but most of the accommodations here are single-family homes. Today residents enjoy the benefits and conveniences of the larger cities within a quiet, friendly, "home town" atmosphere. There is no room for boredom here in Stansbury Park! Add to the fact that you are a stone's throw away from one of the most famous mountains in the world and close to one of the most exciting cities around, and you have the recipe for endless delightful times! If higher education is on the agenda, both Westminster College and University of Phoenix are among the 4-year institutions. Also, among finer colleges is the University of Utah, which is the largest research and teaching school in the state. This University is nationally known and respected for its medical and law schools. Stansbury Park is also located near the Antelope Island State Park. Access to this distinctive park is by a 7.2-mile causeway. It is worth the drive because as the island is home to a heard of 600 bison. Also roaming the plains and bluffs are deer, coyotes, antelope, and bighorn. Stansbury Park is certainly a treasure here in the Salt Lake City region, one that is careful to remain unexploited. For sheer beauty Stansbury Park cannot be beaten!
