City officials have made a strong resolve to improve the quality of life for residents of West Valley City, and they are coming through on that commitment with flying colors. They are providing inhabitants with a wide variety of activities including the construction of the highly popular new Family Fitness Center.

The 96,000 square foot Family Fitness Center offers amenities such as a 27-foot indoor water slide, 32-foot tall indoor rock climbing wall, a leisure pool, a lap pool, aerobics and cycling rooms, cardio theater and weight room, 2 full sized basketball courts and 4 racquetball courts. The Center hosts many programs for Parks and Recreation, including aquatic, group exercise, children's, adult fitness and sport and personal training. They are open 7 days a week with childcare facilities offered 6 days a week.

West Valley is also home to the E-Center, home of the Salt Lake Grizzlies Hockey team. The E-Center also hosts many concerts and other entertainment events. There are many nearby restaurants and hotels in the area - offering convenience and flexibility to those looking for a night out.
