South Burlington, Vermont

Conveniently located just two miles southeast of Burlington, South Burlington has easy access to all of the amenities of The Greater Burlington Area. Initially, this city was settled as part of the town of Burlington. South Burlington is the home of the Burlington International Airport, the University Mall - Vermont's largest enclosed shopping center, the new Vermont National Golf Course and many of Vermont's major highways run through the heartland. The residents have the opportunity to enjoy a number of parks, the bike path and recreational activities. Red Rocks Park, originally served as the Hatch family estate from 1888-1970, contains drives, walks and lookouts which provide fabulous vistas of Lake Champlain and the surrounding mountains. This park consists of 90 acres of woodland with a mile of lakeshore frontage on Shelburne Bay. The Recreational Path is very popular and serves as a safe off-the-road community path connecting the parks, neighborhoods and schools. Dorset Park provides an indoor ice skating rink, tennis courts, playground, soccer, lacrosse and baseball fields.
