One particular point of interest is Virginia Metalcrafters, where visitors can view the centuries-old sand-casting manufacturing process which produces world-renowned brass, bronze and iron products. At the P. Buckley Moss Museum, visitors can peacefully enjoy masterpieces by one of America's most popular artists. Waynesboro is known for its commitment to the arts from the Shenandoah Valley Art Center to the Association of Virginia Artists fine crafts gallery. The P. Buckley Moss Museum (a private, for-profit museum) in Waynesboro is a tribute to the life, art and philosophy of one of our nations most popular contemporary artists. In addition to retail displays of prints and paintings, the museum follows Ms. Moss life and the factors that influenced it.

Downtown Staunton and Downtown Waynesboro offer many unique boutiques, antiques shops and those selling accessories, mens and womens clothing, fine jewelry, arts and crafts. A trolley in downtown Staunton moves shoppers throughout downtown. Both downtowns also offer barber and beauty shops, banks, and other professional services. A mall in Harrisonburg is a short drive away.

The annual Fall Foliage Festival in early October draws hundreds of artists and crafters from across the nation. Those interested in history won't want to miss the annual commemoration of the Civil War Battle of Waynesboro. This 1865 engagement between Generals Jubal Early and Philip Sheridan marked the end of the Confederacy in the Valley of Virginia. Surrounded by beautiful Augusta County, Waynesboro's small town charm and strong sense of community pride make it a place that's easy to love at first sight.
