The suburb of Bryn Mawr-Skyway is a small community of 14,000 residents to the south of Seattle in the State of Washington. Many of Seattle's established businesspeople and professionals live here in nice homes and beautiful neighborhoods. Commute times are fairly easy with an 11-mile stretch of three different highways leading to the heart of the Seattle Metropolitan Area.
Brywn Mawr-Skyway is one of Seattle's more affluent neighborhoods with median house values in the $180,000 range. There is a good ethnic mix in the commuinity with a large African-American and Filipino population.
Like many communities of Seattle, Bryn Mawr-Skyway is located right on the inlet shores. Water is a big part of life in the region and is an ample source of recreation and fishing.
For arts and entertainment, Seattle has long been the hotbed for independent music and shopping. If you're looking for something completely different, the city of Vancouver just across the Canadian border is a large city of a million people with many great natural attractions and some of the finest shopping in the northwest.
If you're looking for some posh, comfortable living just a bit removed from downtown Seattle, Bryn Mawr-Skyway may be a tonguetwister to prouncounce, but it's fluently charming.
