Population: 5,300 Located in Pierce County

Fircrest is a small bedroom community of some 5,300 people. It is a tight-knit community that features good schools, a low crime rate, plenty of recreational opportunities and an excellent quality of life. Fircrest is really considered a suburb, or satellite town of University Place. Fircrest has been known for it's beautiful natural setting, quality facilities, casual atmosphere and strong social programs, with a heavy emphasis on family activities.

Fircrest is known as one of the Nation's "Sportiest" layouts, because of Fircrest Golf Club, which was incorporated on May 14, 1923 in a region known at the time as Regents Park. The 165 acres of wooded and rolling terrain create a country-like atmosphere only minutes from downtown Tacoma.

From its inception, Fircrest has been known as a golfers club. Actively encouraging participation at all skill levels, Fircrest has been the site of national and regional events including the PGA Tacoma Open PGA's Carling Open, and the National Left-Handers Tournament - won by Fircrest's own Jack Walters two times! Fircrest is also extremely proud of its position as the birthplace of the Washington Junior Golf Association, which was started in 1976. The Junior Golf Program has given rise to some of the finest golfers in Washington State.

So, whether you are looking for a town with great golf, or wonderful nature trails, whether you are trying to find a town in close proximity to the major metropolitan areas of Tacoma and Seattle, Fircrest is the place to move!
