Granite Falls is a charming, small community where some of it's residents work in the logging and mining industry as people have there since it's beginning back in 1891 and it also has many residents that commute to cities such as Everett, Lake Stevens and Marysville. With it's small town appeal, it's gorgeous scenery of mountain peaks, evergreens, rivers and abundant wildlife and the great housing prices, it's no wonder that Granite Falls has been"discovered".
Recreation: People come far & wide to go camping and hiking off the Mountain Loop Highway. Located just northeast of town, the Mountain Loop Highway has breathtaking scenery. For the children, there is the Granite Falls Boys and Girls Club. Granite Falls is really proud of it's new library with a lot of modern upgrades.

For this region of the state, two of their principals have been named Principals of the Year and a support staff member was named Washington State Employee of the Year.
