Medina is a city located in the Eastside, an affluent region of King County, Washington and a part of the Seattle metropolitan area. Surrounded by the north, east, and south by Lake Washington, opposite Seattle, Medina is bordered by Clyde Hill and Hunts Point, as well as the satellite city of Bellevue. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 3,011. The city is mostly residential and home to many of the wealthiest people in the greater Seattle area, including Microsoft chairman Bill Gates
The Evergreen Point Floating Bridge, officially the Governor Albert D. Rosellini Bridge--Evergreen Point, is the longest floating bridge in the world, at 7,578 feet (2,310 meters). It carries Washington State Route 520 across Lake Washington from Seattle to Medina.
