Protected on the south by the Olympic Mountains and bordered on the north by the Straits of Juan de Fuca, Port Angeles boasts a deep-water harbor, driftwood beaches, forested hillsides and rugged mountains. From Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Park you can view the city below and Canada's Vancouver Island, just 17 miles across the Straits.
