Puyallup (pronounced "pew-al-up") has long been known for its rich farming land and agricultural tradition. It is the home of the Western Washington Fair - largest in the state and ranked among the top 10 fairs in the nation. Puyallup is also famous for its fields of golden daffodils, celebrated with the annual Daffodil Festival each April.

Puyallup is a place where they are "Working to be your Community of Choice." Beautiful and inviting parks offer varied opportunities for family fun and entertainment, including summer "Concerts in the Park" and fishing derbies, as well as holiday events for the whole family.

The downtown is unique offering quaint boutiques and antique stores. The residents are especially proud of their "Arts Downtown Outdoor Gallery" which displays over 50 pieces of diverse art for people to enjoy through out the downtown area. The Puyallup Farmers Market conducted each summer downtown in Pioneer Park is one of the best in the state and attracts visitors from all over the region. The South Hill area offers a major shopping mall and a wide range of dining options.

The recently installed Veteran's memorial statue in Pioneer Park is something to be proud of. It includes names of all veterans from Puyallup who have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Several years ago, Puyallup residents voted to build a new library to replace the existing 50 year-old building. The new facility was opened in August 2002 to the delight of all who visit, and the beautiful new landmark Library is a proud accomplishment for all those who live in Puyallup.
