Franklin is one of the cities in the Southwest suburb of Milwaukee, and is one of the state's fastest growing communities. New developments in single family homes are continually springing up north of Highway 100. Franklin's rural atmosphere is safe. Crime is minimal, and three firehouses attend to fire and rescue needs. There is also the county-owned Boerner Botanical Gardens and Wehr Nature Center. A walk-in medical center is centrally located for residents' convenience.
